Abbas lives in Chambersburg and has been taking photographs from a very early age. His work often explores the stillness of places and the rituals that move people. He has traveled around the world and brought his documentary eye to subjects ranging from the Hajj (the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca), ordinary life in Yemen, Bangladesh, and youth in Trenton. His work has appeared on the National Geographic website.
